Fawley Hill Steam & Classic Weekend 2013

Fawley Hill Railway began in 1961, a non-public railway which runs within the grounds of Sir William McAlpine for over one mile.

The railway started because the Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0ST No.31 was on the market for £100.

The story of her progress throughout the fields to Fawley Hill made it into the nationwide papers.

The GER railway station is from Somersham, the Midland Railway Sign Field from Shobnall Maltings, close to Burton upon Trent. The footbridge comes from Brading on the Isle of Wight, Bridge No 25, the place it spanned the Ryde Pier to the Shanklin Line.

Entrance to Fawley Hill Railway is by invitation solely on choose days, often through the summer season interval.
