Rose and Sage have arrived! ? We’re thrilled to share that Rose and Sage, the rescued mountain lions from the Oakland Zoo, have arrived safely and are settling in at their new house at The Residing Desert Zoo and Gardens. Each cats had been calm all through the primary night and are already acclimating to their new environment. “By our digital camera monitoring, we noticed anticipated behaviors together with consuming, grooming, exploring, and sleeping,” famous Heather Down, Animal Care Curator of The Residing Desert. “Rose and Sage will stay behind-the-scenes for a few week, as they get accustomed to their new surroundings and the animal care crew builds a relationship with them.” As soon as they’re snug, the dynamic duo might be launched into the mountain lion habitat in Eagle Canyon. “We’re so excited to welcome Rose and Sage to The Residing Desert,” stated RoxAnna Breitigan, Director of Animal Care. “These cats have such a tremendous story, and we’re honored to be a part of their subsequent chapter. We’re so happy with our colleagues on the Oakland Zoo for the exemplary care and dedication to the wellbeing of those superb animals.” Welcome to your fur-ever house, Rose and Sage!
